For grades Pre-Kindergarten & Kindergarten, all students will receive a progress report at the mid-point of each of the three trimesters. Progress reports will include a short written narrative on the student’s progress. For grades 1-8, all student grade reporting can access through BLACKBOARD ENGAGED following parents receiving their child’s ACTIVATION CODE.
To communicate a clearer, more objective picture of a student’s academic progress, the Catholic elementary schools of the Diocese of Providence requires students receive a report card each trimester.
Grades Pre-Kindergarten & Kindergarten utilizes a EVALUATION KEY. Grades 1-8 uses a numeral grading system based on 1-100 for a more concrete, objective criteria. Specific weight is given to each area of performance according to grade level. (Please refer to the Assessment /grading criteria tab for a greater detailed explanation.)
St. Rocco School has a comprehensive curriculum for each subject area in every grade level. Our curriculum will continuously undergo evaluation and updating. Please click on the "Curriculum" tab for the individual “Parent Guide to the Curriculum” for each grade. Please note that these provide only an overview of what your child will be learning and that the actual written curriculum is much more comprehensive.
